Richardson Date: Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 1:30 pm, Purdie-Richardson Cemetery, Hwy 87 near Tar Heel, NC across from Purdie Church. Join us as we commemorate the legacy of Col James A. Richardson with a special grave marking ceremony. This event will celebrate our heritage and the sacrifices made for our freedoms. We are honored to partner with the Le Marquis de Lafayette Chapter from the North Carolina Society Sons of the American Revolution and the Battle of Elizabethtown Chapter of the Daughters of the Revolution who will be conducting the ceremony. Program Includes: • Color Guard Presentation • Pledge of Allegiance and Invocation • Presentation of the Grave Markers • Retirement of Colors Reception to Follow: Harmony Hall Plantation Village, 1615 River Road, White Oak, NC. Col Richardson’s birth date is May 1, 1734. Please join us in celebrating his birthday as we continue to honor his heritage at Harmony Hall. Historical Attire is welcome!
