Resumes and proposals are due December 20
The Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting proposals for a part-time contracted coordinator to manage the White Lake Water Festival in 2024. The position is responsible for serving as a liaison between the Chamber, the Town of White Lake and the Water Festival Committee and will be the main public contact. The position is a contracted hire for 6 months with an estimate of 200-250 hours. Proposals and resumes are due December 20.

The Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominations for our Annual Awards. The awards are presented in five categories to worthy individuals and businesses who have impacted Bladen County in 2023. The Chamber is requesting members’ help in identifying these individuals and businesses. Nominations will be accepted until November 30, 2023.

Members of the Elizabethtown - White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce are invited to spend a relaxing evening, socializing with other businesses and learning about the new upgrades at the Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery during the Chamber Members After Hours on Tuesday, July 18 from 5pm to 7pm.

About 30 Chamber Members enjoyed light refreshment and music as they gathered for a tour of the upgrades and additions to the Grand Regal, Goldston's Beach, and Venue properties. A wonderful food board greeted the attendees with local musician Darren Wheeless playing live music in the Glass Lounge.

Members of the Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce were asked to consider hosting one of the first weekend festivals celebrating the “Year of the Trail” at the September Member Meeting. Based on the positive feedback from the member, the Chamber Directors agreed to proceed with the project at their October Board Meeting.

The Elizabethtown - White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of two new businesses with ribbon cuttings in the last few days. The events at Tipsy Toad Gallery at Cape Fear Winery on Friday, February 11 and Above & Beyond Wellness and Med Spa on Monday, February 14 were well attended by area business people and community leaders.

The award recipients were chosen after being nominated by Chamber members. These awards will be officially presented at the Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony at Lu Mil Vineyard on Thursday, March 10.
